If you wish to use Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS) and Web Browser GPRS/WAP services with your new network after you unlock your phone, you will need to change the settings on your phone to support the new network.

Finding the Settings for your New Network
To find the GPRS and MMS settings for your new network, try searching o for the settings for your new network on Google. For example, you could search for "V3 RAZR Cingular GPRS Settings" if the new network you are using is Cingular. Alternatively you can contact your new cellular service provider and ask for their GPRS and MMS settings for your phone.

Entering the new settings into your phone
The location of the GPRS and MMS settings menus depend upon the cell phone and the firmware installed on it. However, the below instructions will give you an idea as to where you will find the GPRS and MMS settings menus on many Motorola phones.

MMS Settings
  1. Go to the phone's main menu (usually by pressing middle button).
  2. Go to the "Messages" section. You should see a list of options (New Message, Message Inbox, etc).
  3. Press the "menu" button again (i.e. the middle button at the top of the phone), which should take you to the "Msg Center Menu".
  4. Scroll down and select the "Message Setup" option (not the "Fax Message Setup").
  5. Now select "MMS Message Setup" and press "Change".
GPRS Settings:
  1. Go to the phone's main menu (usually by pressing middle button).
  2. Go to the "Web Access" or "Web Browser", though the name of this seems to different on different firmwares. For example, on Cingular phones I believe it's called MediaNet.
  3. You should be able to access a menu here again - select the "Web Sessions" option.
  4. Select the option "New Entry" to create a new web access profile, and you should be able to enter all the GPRS/WAP settings for the web browser.
You should note that some networks heavily customize the web browsers in their firmwares, so it may not always be possible to change the GPRS settings to make the web browser work. In these situations, the best solution is to flash your phone with an unbranded firmware.

Using unbranded firmware
Often times network operators will heavily brand the firmware on their phones, occasionally locking the GPRS/MMS settings or the Web Browser settings. If this appears to be the case for your phone, the best solution is to flash your phone using an unbranded firmware. To find firmwares for your phone, you can find firmwares easily by searching on Google. For RAZR phones you can find firmwares at http://www.motox.us
