The Motorola V3x is Motorola's update to the RAZR V3,
and unlike the L2, L6 and L7, it really does offer some new features. Most
significant amongst these new features is support for real-time two-way
video calling, as well as a TransFlash/microSD memory slot. The phone itself
is a 3G phone, but it lacks much of the weight of other 3G phone.
Nonetheless, at 125g it is significantly heavier than the original RAZR, but
it does boast a 2 Mega Pixel camera - a first for Motorola's new line of
models. In fact, it has two cameras - a 2 MP on the outside and a VGA camera
facing inwards for video calling.
Unfortunately, Motorola have not taken time to provide
some real changes in the firmware, and the Motorola V3x maintains firmware
that is relatively similar to previous models. This is quite disappointing,
since it is high time that Motorola revamp the firmware of their phones with
a more intuitive interface like that of Sony Ericsson and Nokia cell phones.
Nonetheless, once 3G technology becomes available in more places across the
US (Cingular has launched services in a number of cities across the
country), this phone will surely become quite popular
